JSON viewer: explore JSON as a collapsible tree.

Paste an API response, a config file or a log line and read it as a tree you can open and close. Search across keys and values, see each node’s type and size, and click any row to copy its path. Nothing is uploaded.

Privacy: this tool runs in your browser. Your JSON is not uploaded or logged. A shared link keeps the input after the #, which browsers never send to a server.

Follows: RFC 8259 (checked 2026-10-18) · RFC 9535 (checked 2026-10-18) · RFC 6901 (checked 2026-10-18)

What this tool does

Read large JSON without scrolling through it.

  • 01

A tree you can open and close

Objects and arrays fold into one line showing how many keys or items they hold, so a response with thousands of lines reads as a handful of branches. Expand all or collapse all in one click.

  • 02

    Search keys and values

Type a key or a value and every match is marked, with the branches that hold them opened for you. Useful for finding the one field that is null in a long list.

  • 03

Copy the path to any value

Select a row to get its JSONPath, its dot path for JavaScript and its JSON Pointer, each with a copy button. No more counting brackets to write orders[3].customer.email by hand.

Paths, search, large files and what is sent where.

No. It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you paste is sent to QalbIT, logged or stored. A shared link keeps your input after the # in the address, and browsers never send that part to a server.
They name the same value three ways. JSONPath ($['orders'][0]['id']) is the query syntax standardised in RFC 9535. A dot path (orders[0].id) is what you write in JavaScript. A JSON Pointer (/orders/0/id) is RFC 6901, and it is how JSON Schema reports where an error is.
Yes, within your device’s memory. Branches start closed below the second level, and a branch with thousands of items shows 200 at a time, so the tree stays fast. Search covers the whole document either way.
It parses strict JSON, so comments, trailing commas and single quotes are rejected, and the message gives the line and column. To fix and reformat the text, use the JSON formatter and validator, which shows the same error positions.
Copy link puts your JSON and search term into the link itself, so whoever opens it sees the same tree. It works up to about 8 KB after compression; above that the tool says so rather than making a link that would not open.
